Sensex falls! But these stocks surged over 5% on BSE

Nifty moved in a tight range of 82 points, and ended slightly below the psychologically crucial level of 15,700.
NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Tuesday's trade as Dalal Street closed lower for the day.

Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session down 703.59 points at 56463.15.

The top gainers included GSS Infotech(up 10.0%), Natural Capsule(PP)(up 10.0%), Nimbus Projects(up 10.0%), Orient Tradelink(up 10.0%), Chennai Multi(up 9.98%), Kapil Raj Finance(up 9.97%), TCM Ltd(up 9.94%), Genus Prim Infr(up 9.93%), Lloyds Steels(up 9.89%) and Ducon Infra(up 9.84%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Apollo Hospital(up 5.75%), Coal India Ltd(up 4.38%), RIL(up 3.81%), ICICI Bank(up 1.12%) and BPCL(up 1.10%) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty 50 index ended 215.0 points down at 16958.65.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 7 shares ended in the green, while 43 closed in the red.
