Sensex falls! But these stocks surged over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Tuesday's trade as Dalal Street closed lower for the day.

Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session down 1281.68 points at 81148.22.

The top gainers included Indokem Ltd(up 9.99%), Aarti Surfactants(up 9.99%), Avro India(up 9.99%), Mangalam Organics (up 9.99%), Bright Brothers(up 9.99%), Elin Electronics(up 9.99%), Bharat Bhushan(up 9.95%), TheBykeHospitality(up 9.90%), JSL Industries(up 9.85%) and Fervent Syn(up 9.85%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as BEL(up 4.02%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.98%), Jio Financial Services(up 1.72%), Dr. Reddys(up 0.97%) and Sun Pharma(up 0.82%) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty 50 index ended 346.36 points down at 24578.35.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 13 shares ended in the green, while 37 closed in the red.
