Sensex falls! But these stocks surged over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Thursday's trade as Dalal Street closed lower for the day.

Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session down 203.22 points at 75735.96.

The top gainers included Mangalam Organics (up 10.00%), Inspirisys Solutions(up 9.99%), Starlog Enterprises(up 9.99%), Ashish Poly(up 9.99%), Panorama Studios Int(up 9.98%), Synthiko Foils(up 9.97%), Paragon Finance(up 9.96%), Ashiana Ispat(up 9.93%), India Lease Dev(up 9.92%) and Golechha Global(up 9.92%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Shriram Finance(up 4.14%), NTPC(up 3.29%), M&M(up 2.98%), BEL(up 2.71%) and Adani Ports SEZ(up 2.67%) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty 50 index ended 19.75 points down at 22913.15.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 27 shares ended in the green, while 23 closed in the red.
