Sensex falls! But these stocks surged over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Friday's trade as Dalal Street closed lower for the day.

Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session down 423.49 points at 76619.33.

The top gainers included Parshva Enterprises(up 10.00%), Sarthak Ind(up 9.99%), Ashapura Minechem(up 9.99%), Kesar Petroprod(up 9.98%), Meenakshi Enterprise(up 9.97%), Saboo Sodium(up 9.97%), Country Condos (up 9.96%), TAAL Enterprises(up 9.81%), DJS Stock & Shares Ltd.(up 9.67%) and Mayukh Dealtrade(up 9.42%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as RIL(up 2.84%), BPCL(up 2.52%), Hindalco(up 2.39%), Coal India Ltd(up 2.33%) and Nestle India(up 2.21%) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty 50 index ended 108.6 points down at 23203.2.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 29 shares ended in the green, while 21 closed in the red.
