Sensex falls! But these stocks surged over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Thursday's trade as Dalal Street closed lower for the day.

Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session down 528.28 points at 77620.21.

The top gainers included Skyline Ventures(up 10.00%), Magna Electro(up 10.00%), BSEL Infra(up 9.97%), Diligent Media Corp(up 9.86%), Indo-City Info(up 9.61%), Navin Fluorine(up 9.58%), Smruthi Org(up 9.42%), Balaji Amines(up 9.29%), Silverpoint Infratech(up 8.98%) and GTPL Hathway(up 8.96%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Bajaj Auto(up 2.25%), Nestle India(up 1.63%), HUL(up 1.44%), Britannia(up 1.37%) and M&M(up 1.31%) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty 50 index ended 162.46 points down at 23526.5.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 16 shares ended in the green, while 34 closed in the red.
