Sensex falls! But these stocks surged over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Friday's trade as Dalal Street closed lower for the day.

Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session down 56.74 points at 81709.12.

The top gainers included A2Z Infra Engg(up 10.00%), Sterling Green(up 10.00%), Dharani Finance(up 10.00%), TeleCanor Global(up 10.00%), TBZ(up 10.00%), BGR Energy(up 9.99%), Balgopal Commercial(up 9.99%), Starteck Finance(up 9.99%), Modi Naturals(up 9.99%) and Cambridge Tech(up 9.99%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Tata Motors(up 3.06%), Bajaj Auto(up 2.34%), Axis Bank(up 1.56%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.22%) and SBI Life(up 1.17%) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty 50 index ended 30.61 points down at 24677.8.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 21 shares ended in the green, while 29 closed in the red.
