Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Pradhin Ltd.(20.0%), Jai Balaji Inds(20.0%), Malu Paper Mill(19.89%), Nirvikara Paper Mill(19.88%), Aryaman Fin(19.82%), Virtual Global Education Ltd.-Deleted(19.67%) and Astron Paper & Board(17.18%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 103.9 points down at 61702.29, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 35.15 points down at 18385.3.


In the Nifty50 index, 12 stocks closed in the green, while 36 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Aryaman Fin, Hybrid Financial Services Ltd., Yashraj Contain, Hardcastle Waud and Captain Pipes hit their fresh 52-week high, while Arshiya, Sintex Inds., Cerebra Integrat, G G Engineering and Aarti Inds touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
