Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Ind Bank Hous(20.0%), Yashraj Contain(20.0%), The Mandhana Retail(20.0%), Hardcastle Waud(19.99%), Nat Plastic(19.97%), Supremex Shine Stee(16.86%) and Rajkumar Forge(15.63%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 878.88 points down at 61799.03, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 245.4 points down at 18414.9.


In the Nifty50 index, 7 stocks closed in the green, while 43 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Yashraj Contain, Nat Plastic, GIC, Escorp Asset Manage and Nagreeka Capital hit their fresh 52-week high, while Cerebra Integrat, Sintex Inds., Bedmutha Ind and Add-Shop E-Retail touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
