Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Alpa Labs(19.98%), Skipper Ltd(19.97%), Kabra Extrusion(19.92%), Easy Trip Planners Ltd.(19.91%), Vishal Bearings Ltd.(19.9%), VEER Energy(19.85%), Reliable Vent(19.79%), Ontic Finserve(19.76%), UCO Bank(18.79%) and Virinchi (15.13%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 518.64 points down at 61144.84, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 147.7 points down at 18159.95.


In the Nifty50 index, 13 stocks closed in the green, while 37 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Vishal Bearings Ltd., VEER Energy, UCO Bank, Bank of Maharashtra and Tirupati Sarjan hit their fresh 52-week high, while Kopran Ltd, Ansal Housing, Quess Corp, Suumaya Corporation Ltd. and Arshiya touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
