Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Vishal Bearings Ltd.(19.93%), Ontic Finserve(19.81%), VEER Energy(19.75%), Biofil Chem(19.68%) and IFB Industries(15.69%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 87.12 points down at 61663.48, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 36.25 points down at 18307.65.


In the Nifty50 index, 14 stocks closed in the green, while 36 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as TCPL Packaging, Honda Siel Power, Evans Electric, Bank of Maharashtra and Vindhya Telelink hit their fresh 52-week high, while Ambalal Sarabhai, Nakoda Group Of Ind, Pace E-Commerce Ventures Ltd., ANG Lifesciences Ind and Arshiya touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
