Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Timken India(20.0%), Loyal Equipments Ltd(20.0%), Archies Ltd(15.78%), R Systems Intnl(15.66%) and Silicon Rental Solutions Ltd.(15.64%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 230.12 points down at 61750.6, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 65.75 points down at 18343.9.


In the Nifty50 index, 16 stocks closed in the green, while 33 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Abans Enterprises, Evans Electric, Tanfac Ind, Bemco Hydraulic and G M Polyplast hit their fresh 52-week high, while Spaceage Products, Makers Labs, Piramal Pharma Ltd., ANG Lifesciences Ind and Pace E-Commerce Ventures Ltd. touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
