Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

In the Nifty50 index, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Orient Press(20.0%), Cranex Ltd(19.94%), Foods & Inns(18.45%), DMR Hydroengineering & Infrastructure Ltd.(17.89%), Omax Autos(17.35%), Saksoft Ltd(17.24%) and Neuland Labs(15.6%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 337.06 points down at 59119.72, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 88.55 points down at 17629.8.


In the Nifty50 index, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Remsons Ind, Sonal Mercantile, Diamines Chem, Choice Intnl and Optimus Finance hit their fresh 52-week high, while Shubham Polyspin, My Money Securit, Mehai Technology, A F Enterprises and Trescon touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
