Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Ceat(20.0%), Keynote Financial(19.99%), Authum Investment(19.98%), Sharp India(19.97%), South Indian Bnk(19.91%), Trans & Rectif(19.9%), Amrapali Ind(19.15%), Indo Tech Trans(19.1%) and Hariyana Ship(15.98%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 412.96 points down at 59934.01, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 126.35 points down at 17877.4.


In the Nifty50 index, 11 stocks closed in the green, while 39 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Creative Casting, TRF Ltd, HB Estate Dev, Olatech Solutions Ltd. and Power Mech Proj hit their fresh 52-week high, while Stampede Cap, Sanofi India and Ind Bank Hous touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
