Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd.(20.0%), Cochin Minerals(19.98%), Subex(19.97%), Refnol Resins(19.8%), Paramount Comm(19.33%), Xtglobal Infotech(18.17%) and Mohit Inds(15.24%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 51.73 points down at 58298.8, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 6.15 points down at 17382.0.


In the Nifty50 index, 31 stocks closed in the green, while 19 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Navneet Education, Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Ltd., Veerkrupa Jewellers Ltd., Wonderla Holidays and Diamines Chem hit their fresh 52-week high, while Birla Tyres, Oceanic Foods, Future Retail, ISF Ltd and Karda Const touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
