Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Leading Leasing Fin(19.98%), Maruti Interior Products Ltd.(19.97%), Moneyboxx Finance(19.84%), Ansal Buildwell(19.44%), Butterfly Gandhi(18.28%), Baroda Extrusion(18.14%) and Ontic Finserve(15.73%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 98.0 points down at 53416.15, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 28.0 points down at 15938.65.


In the Nifty50 index, 19 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Maruti Interior Products Ltd., Moneyboxx Finance, Butterfly Gandhi, Aki India and PC Jeweller hit their fresh 52-week high, while Shristi Infra, Arrow Greentech, Birlasoft, S P Capital Fin and Ajwa Fun World touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
