Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, EKI Energy Services Ltd.(20.0%), Madhav Marbles(19.95%), PTC Financial(19.94%), Wardwizard Innov(PP)(19.93%), HOV Services(19.92%), Dynemic Product(PP)(19.23%), Ravileela Gran(19.09%), Olympic Cards(18.18%) and Kilitch Drug(16.48%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 100.42 points down at 53134.35, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 24.5 points down at 15810.85.


In the Nifty50 index, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Sungold Media and En, Orient Bell, Silver Touch Tech, Stanpacks Ltd and Shukra Pharma hit their fresh 52-week high, while Nath Ind., HKG Ltd, Lerthai Finance, Padmanabh Industrie and Andhra Cements touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
