Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Wardwizard Innov(PP)(20.0%), Shetron Ltd(19.9%), Motor Gen Fin(19.86%), Lasa Supergenerics(19.84%), Responsive Ind.(19.22%), Tranway Technologies(17.98%) and TPL Plastech(17.93%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 111.01 points down at 52907.93, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 28.2 points down at 15752.05.


In the Nifty50 index, 38 stocks closed in the green, while 12 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Akshar Spintex, Galactico Corporate, VMV Holidays Ltd., ST Corporation and Rose Merc. Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high, while Nanavati Ventures Ltd., Vivo Bio Tech, Maestros Elec, Ashika Credit and Parag Milk Foods touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
