Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Indian Sucrose(19.96%), Fraser & Company(18.98%) and Mahamaya Steel(16.61%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 135.37 points down at 51360.42, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 67.1 points down at 15293.5.


In the Nifty50 index, 12 stocks closed in the green, while 38 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Nintec Systems Ltd., Gala Global Prod, HAL, Rose Merc. Ltd. and Kohinoor Foods hit their fresh 52-week high, while Greycells Edu, Wardwizard Innov(PP), KG Petrochem, Biofil Chem and New Light Apparels touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
