Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, G G Engineering(20.16%), Essar Sec(20.0%), Tree House Edu(20.0%), Ansal Housing(19.89%), DMR Hydroengineering & Infrastructure Ltd.(18.37%), Kaarya Facilities(17.65%), Kuberan Global Edu Solutions Ltd.(16.05%) and Asian Oilfield(16.04%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 214.85 points down at 54892.49, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 60.1 points down at 16356.25.


In the Nifty50 index, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Essar Sec, Lords Chloro, Choksi Labs, MRPL and Relicab Cable Manufa hit their fresh 52-week high, while Natural Biocon(I), Aptus Value Housing, Hikal Ltd, Triveni Enterprises and BFL Asset Finvest touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
