Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Mangalore Chem(19.98%), Noida Toll Brid(19.97%), PrismxGlobalVent(19.96%), Ultracab(India)(19.8%), PrismxGlobalVent(PP)(19.5%), Smart Finsec L(18.85%) and Akashdeep Metal(16.06%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 93.91 points down at 55675.32, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 14.75 points down at 16569.55.


In the Nifty50 index, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Oil India Ltd, AGI Infra Ltd., Elecon Engg Co, Lahoti Overseas and Galactico Corporate hit their fresh 52-week high, while Mitshi India, Innovative Tech, Gaekwar Mills, Jeevan Scientific and Future Retail touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
