Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Ascensive Educare Ltd.(20.0%) and Nava Bharat Vent.(17.12%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 1416.3 points down at 52792.23, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 430.9 points down at 15809.4.


In the Nifty50 index, 3 stocks closed in the green, while 47 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Nava Bharat Vent., Rose Merc. Ltd., Mewar Hi-Tech Engine, Roto Pumps and Mehta Housing hit their fresh 52-week high, while Garment Mantra Life, Manappuram Finance, Lincoln Pharma, Niyogin Fintech and Lupin touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
