Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Starteck Finance(20.0%), Ishita Drugs(20.0%), Captain Technocast(20.0%), Samor Reality Ltd.(18.99%), Shilchar Tech(18.56%), Mac Charles Ind(15.67%), Premier Poly(15.29%) and Paisalo Digital(15.05%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 1306.96 points down at 55669.03, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 391.5 points down at 16677.6.


In the Nifty50 index, 5 stocks closed in the green, while 45 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Starteck Finance, Ishita Drugs, Samor Reality Ltd., Shilchar Tech and Shish Industries hit their fresh 52-week high, while Future Market, Karda Const, Rollatainers Ltd, Uma Exports Ltd. and Arnold Holdings touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
