Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Nalin Lease Fin(20.0%), SKP Securities(19.99%), Shilchar Tech(19.99%), Captain Technocast(19.96%), Ruby Mills(19.72%), ICL Organic Dairy(18.67%), EKI Energy Services Ltd.(17.22%), Gokaldas Export(15.67%) and Maruti Interior Products Ltd.(15.52%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 84.88 points down at 56975.99, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 33.45 points down at 17069.1.


In the Nifty50 index, 20 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Shilchar Tech, SKP Securities, Ruby Mills, Gokaldas Export and Vadilal Ind hit their fresh 52-week high, while Solara Active Pharma, Future Market, Zee Learn, Evoq Remedies Ltd. and Kanungo Financiers touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
