Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, RO Jewels(20.0%), BNK Cap Market(19.99%), Rita Finance and Leasing Ltd.(19.97%), Poona Dal Oil(19.96%), Kriti Nutrients(19.95%), MRP Agro Ltd.(19.81%) and Golden Tobacco(17.25%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 617.26 points down at 56579.89, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 218.0 points down at 16953.95.


In the Nifty50 index, 8 stocks closed in the green, while 42 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Rita Finance and Leasing Ltd., Kriti Nutrients, Meghmani Finechem Ltd., Rudra Global Infra and Gokul Refoils hit their fresh 52-week high, while Future Consumer, FutureLifestyleFash, PrismxGlobalVent(PP), Future Supply Chain and Future Market touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
