Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Dhanlaxmi Fab(20.0%), Pearl Polymers(19.64%), Bansal Roofing Prod.(18.57%), T T Ltd(16.11%), SBL Infratech Ltd.(15.62%) and Omax Autos(15.0%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 703.59 points down at 56463.15, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 215.0 points down at 16958.65.


In the Nifty50 index, 7 stocks closed in the green, while 43 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Dhanlaxmi Fab, Pearl Polymers, Bansal Roofing Prod., Bhagyanagar Properti and Lahoti Overseas hit their fresh 52-week high, while Octaware Technologie, INEOS Styrolution, Seacoast Shipping, Karda Const and Shree Ganesh Bio-Tec touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
