Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Filtra Consultants &(20.0%), IFB Agro(19.91%), ICL Organic Dairy(16.23%), Shaily Engg Pla(16.14%) and Edelweiss Financial(15.21%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 115.48 points down at 58568.51, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 33.5 points down at 17464.75.


In the Nifty50 index, 21 stocks closed in the green, while 29 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Shaily Engg Pla, Mahindra Lifespace, Jagsonpal Pharm, Raj Rayon and Sunil Healthcare hit their fresh 52-week high, while Indag Rubber, Everest Org, GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd., Evoq Remedies Ltd. and Integra Tele & Soft touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
