Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Atam Valves(20.0%), GFL Ltd.(19.95%), Aryaman Capital(18.48%) and Goa Carbons(16.51%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 233.48 points down at 57362.2, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 69.75 points down at 17153.0.


In the Nifty50 index, 12 stocks closed in the green, while 38 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Atam Valves, Goa Carbons, Som Distill, Tata Elxsi and Lemon Tree Hotels hit their fresh 52-week high, while Envair Electro, GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd., Future Enterprises, Libord Sec and Northlink Fiscal&Cap touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
