Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, NRB Industrial(19.92%), Atam Valves(19.78%), Khemani Dist(17.55%), Zee Ent.(16.83%), Nat Plastic(16.45%), Asahi Songwon(16.25%) and Yug Decor(15.61%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 89.14 points down at 57595.68, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 22.9 points down at 17222.75.


In the Nifty50 index, 25 stocks closed in the green, while 25 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Khemani Dist, Active Clothing Co, Gujarat Craft, Nintec Systems Ltd. and Agarwal Corp hit their fresh 52-week high, while Bhatia Colour Chem Ltd., Jet Infraventure, Danlaw Technologies, GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd. and Pithampur Poly touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
