Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Jyoti Resins(20.0%), Ugar Sugar Work(20.0%), Prithvi Exchange (20.0%), Archies Ltd(20.0%), Nahar Industrial(19.98%), Maan Aluminium(19.97%), Times Guaranty(19.96%), Mahalaxmi Rub(19.95%), Shri Venkatesh Refineries Ltd.(19.95%) and Billwin Industries L(19.89%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 1023.63 points down at 57621.19, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 302.7 points down at 17213.6.


In the Nifty50 index, 8 stocks closed in the green, while 42 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Jyoti Resins, Ugar Sugar Work, Prithvi Exchange , Nahar Industrial and Times Guaranty hit their fresh 52-week high, while Ujjivan Financial, Lupin, Jubilant Life, Neuland Labs and Superior Finlease touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
