Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Polychem Ltd(20.0%), Coastal Corp(20.0%), U H Zaveri(20.0%), Bemco Hydraulic(20.0%), Coffee Day Ent(20.0%), Ganga Pharmaceutical(20.0%), Hindustan Hardy(20.0%), Ruby Mills(19.99%), Orient Press(19.99%) and Ladderup Fin(19.96%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 12.27 points down at 61223.03, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 2.05 points down at 18255.75.


In the Nifty50 index, 21 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as U H Zaveri, Coastal Corp, Coffee Day Ent, Hindustan Hardy and Ruby Mills hit their fresh 52-week high, while Superior Finlease, IITL Projects, Dilip Buildcon, Vaghani Techno and Times Green Energy(India)Ltd. touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
