Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

In the Nifty50 index, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Escorp Asset Manage(20.0%), VMV Holidays Ltd.(20.0%), Goa Carbons(19.99%), Aimco Pesticide(19.99%), Krebs Biochem(19.99%), Gensol Engg(19.98%), Loyal Equipments Ltd(19.98%), Virat Crane(19.97%), Saven Tech(19.95%) and Bharat Bhushan(19.94%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 12.17 points down at 57794.32, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 9.65 points down at 17203.95.


In the Nifty50 index, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Escorp Asset Manage, Aimco Pesticide, Loyal Equipments Ltd, Virat Crane and Bharat Bhushan hit their fresh 52-week high, while RBL Bank, Markolines Traffic Controls Ltd., IITL Projects, Valiant Comm and Fino Payments Bank Ltd. touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
