Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Jai Mata Glass(52.63%), Data Patterns(India)Ltd.(29.03%), Jetking Info(20.0%), PTL Enterprises(19.97%), Smartlink Holdings (19.97%), Shri Krishna(19.96%), Wires Fabrics(19.95%), Link Pharma(19.95%), Ashirwad Cap(19.94%) and Fervent Syn(19.92%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 190.97 points down at 57124.31, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 68.85 points down at 17003.75.


In the Nifty50 index, 11 stocks closed in the green, while 39 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Data Patterns(India)Ltd., Smartlink Holdings, PTL Enterprises, Shri Krishna and Wires Fabrics hit their fresh 52-week high, while Shriram Properties Ltd., Markolines Traffic Controls Ltd., Omnipotent Industries Ltd., Emergent Global Edu and Infra Ind touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
