Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, The Phosphate Co.(20.00%), Sharda Cropchem(19.78%), Kellton Tech(16.84%), Sharika Enterprises(16.53%), Vimta Labs(15.62%) and Panth Infinity(15.19%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 721.08 points down at 81463.09, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 225.1 points down at 24837.0.


In the Nifty50 index, 7 stocks closed in the green, while 43 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Sharda Cropchem, Vimta Labs, Panth Infinity, Times Guaranty and Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem hit their fresh 52-week high, while Shalimar Paints, Akme Star Housing, Shriram EPC(PP), Ambalal Sarabhai and Jolly Plastic Industries Ltd. touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
