Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Fervent Syn(20.00%), Soma Textiles(19.99%) and Omnitex Ind(16.09%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 689.81 points down at 82500.47, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 205.41 points down at 25149.85.


In the Nifty50 index, 12 stocks closed in the green, while 38 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Omnitex Ind, Glenmark Pharma, Cupid Ltd, Datamatics Glob and Mangalam Global Ent hit their fresh 52-week high, while Jindal Worldwide, Vedavaag Sys, RSD Finance, Ozone World and South Asian Ent touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
