Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Kerala Ayurveda(19.99%), Lakshmi Mills(19.99%), Ishan Dyes Chem(19.98%), Parmax Pharma(19.97%), TN Telecom(19.91%), Kinetic Engg(19.74%), Borosil Scientific(18.99%), Informed Tech(18.73%), Zee Media Corp(18.37%) and Maruti Infra(16.36%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 511.38 points down at 81896.79, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 140.5 points down at 24971.9.


In the Nifty50 index, 15 stocks closed in the green, while 35 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Lakshmi Mills, Kinetic Engg, Meenakshi Enterprise, Innovana Thinklabs and AGI Infra Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high, while Photoquip Ind, Ola Electric Mobilit, Catvision Ltd, Saumya Consultants and Pankaj Piyush touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
