Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

In the Nifty50 index, 9 stocks closed in the green, while 41 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Raj Oil Mills(20.00%), Gyscoal Alloys(19.94%), CFSL Ltd.(19.75%), Jubilant Ingrevia(16.57%) and N R Agarwal Ind(15.43%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 573.38 points down at 81118.6, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 169.61 points down at 24718.6.


In the Nifty50 index, 9 stocks closed in the green, while 41 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Anzen India Energy, DB Realty, Nazara Technologies, Oswal Agro Mill and National Fittings hit their fresh 52-week high, while Medico Intercontinental, J. Taparia Proj, Arfin India, Bluspring Enterprises Ltd. and Vantage Knowledge touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
