Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Shikhar Consultants Ltd.(50.00%), Hubtown Ltd(20.00%), Karma Energy(20.00%), Zodiac JRD MKJ(19.99%), Zenith Birla(19.97%), Gyscoal Alloys(19.74%), Karda Const(17.94%) and Advait Infratech(16.03%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 823.16 points down at 81691.98, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 253.21 points down at 24888.2.


In the Nifty50 index, 7 stocks closed in the green, while 43 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Subros, Oriental Trimex, Indokem Ltd, National Fittings and Force Motors hit their fresh 52-week high, while Softsol India, Pulsar International, Salguti Industries, Archana Software and Mercury Trade Links touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
