Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Cinevista Ltd(20.00%), Thacker Co(20.00%), Sri Havisha Hospitality & Infra(20.00%), KLRF Ltd(19.99%), Oriental Carbon(19.99%), National Peroxide(19.98%), Gayatri Sugars(19.98%), RattanIndia Power (19.83%), GE Power India (19.43%) and Atam Valves(19.26%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 53.49 points down at 82391.72, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 1.05 points up at 25104.25.


In the Nifty50 index, 27 stocks closed in the green, while 23 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Reliance Power, Indef Manufacturing, Sugal Damani, Ajcon Global and Creative Eye hit their fresh 52-week high, while Pradhin Ltd., Nam Securities, Salguti Industries, Archana Software and Suvidha Infra touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
