Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Mayur Leather(57.35%), NRB Industrial(20.00%), Anupam Finserv(19.04%), FACT(17.94%) and Welspun Investments (15.67%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 636.24 points down at 80737.51, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 174.1 points down at 24542.5.


In the Nifty50 index, 7 stocks closed in the green, while 43 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Mayur Leather, Anupam Finserv, Keltech Energies, Sika Interplant and Aryaman Capital hit their fresh 52-week high, while Capital Infra Trust, Alfavision Over, A F Enterprises, Maxheights Infr and Nettlinx Ltd touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
