Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Welspun Investments (17.73%), Pasupati Spinning (17.39%), Solitaire Mach(16.14%), Bodal Chemicals(15.71%) and Wardwizard Innov(15.64%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 217.41 points down at 74115.17, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 92.21 points down at 22460.3.


In the Nifty50 index, 13 stocks closed in the green, while 37 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Bio Green Paper, Autoriders Intnl, TechNVision, Hira Automobiles and Emergent Global Edu hit their fresh 52-week high, while Kesoram Inds., Supra Pacific Manage, Nagarjuna Fertilizer, Flex Foods and Prag Bosimi Syn touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
