Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Jindal Worldwide(19.95%) and NEL Holdings(17.41%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 1414.33 points down at 73198.1, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 420.35 points down at 22124.7.


In the Nifty50 index, 5 stocks closed in the green, while 44 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Photon Capital, Hira Automobiles, Aris Intnl, Dhanlaxmi Cotex and Triumph International Finance India Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high, while Cosyn, Capital Trust, Envair Electro, Kunststoffe Ind and Nova Iron Steel touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
