Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Duroply lndustries(20.00%), Xtglobal Infotech(19.99%), Taj GVK Hotels(19.99%), Shyamkamal Invst(19.91%), Narendra Prop(19.69%), Nitin Castings (19.43%), Hilton Metal(19.37%), Veranda Learning Sol(19.25%), Kallam Textiles (18.81%) and Gujarat Themis (18.52%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 28.21 points down at 75939.18, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 12.4 points down at 22932.9.


In the Nifty50 index, 25 stocks closed in the green, while 25 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Taj GVK Hotels, Shree Rama News, TCPL Packaging, Synthiko Foils and Camlin Fine Sc hit their fresh 52-week high, while Revathi Equipment In, Suratwwala Business, Zodiac JRD MKJ, Centenial Surg and Best Agrolife touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
