Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Godfrey Philips(19.99%), Ascensive Educare(19.21%), AVI Products India (16.46%) and Pasupati Spinning (16.11%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 199.76 points down at 75939.21, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 102.16 points down at 22929.25.


In the Nifty50 index, 11 stocks closed in the green, while 39 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Gowra Leasing, RDB Real Estate Cons, Aris Intnl, Norben Tea Exp and Vas Infra hit their fresh 52-week high, while Concord Enviro Syste, Titan Biotech, Anjani Portland, Deepak Nitrite and We Win touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
