Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

In the Nifty50 index, 27 stocks closed in the green, while 23 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Aadi Industries Ltd.(19.91%), Godfrey Philips(19.84%) and Nath Ind.(17.98%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 197.97 points down at 77860.19, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 43.4 points down at 23559.95.

In the Nifty50 index, 27 stocks closed in the green, while 23 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Nath Ind., Aarti Pharmalabs, Thirdwave Financial, Eyantra Ventures and RDB Real Estate Cons hit their fresh 52-week high, while Carraro India L, Apollo Finvest, K Z Leasing, Sonata Software and Southern Magnesium touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
