Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the amid brisk in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Sri Chakra Cement(20.00%), Palash Securities(17.18%), Centenial Surg(16.23%) and AVI Products India (15.81%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 1048.9 points down at 76330.01, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 345.55 points at 23085.95.


In the Nifty50 index, 4 stocks closed in the green, while 46 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Sri Chakra Cement, Atlas Cycles, Hilltone Soft&Gases, Parsharti Invst and Turner Industries hit their fresh 52-week high, while Khandwala Sec, TGB Banquets, Krishna Vent, Senores Pharmaceutic and Indo Farm Equipment touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
