Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

In the Nifty50 index, 16 stocks closed in the green, while 34 stocks ended in the red.

Nifty moved in a tight range of 82 points, and ended slightly below the psychologically crucial level of 15,700.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the amid brisk in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Panther Industrial Products Ltd.(57.47%), Parsharti Invst(19.99%) and Kamdhenu (15.05%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 528.28 points down at 77620.21, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 162.46 points at 23526.5.

In the Nifty50 index, 16 stocks closed in the green, while 34 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Panther Industrial Products Ltd., Parsharti Invst, Indokem Ltd, Navin Fluorine and Captain Polyplast hit their fresh 52-week high, while Pritish Nandy, Odigma Consultancy, Universus Photo, Amarnath Securities and Quadrant Tele touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
