Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the amid brisk in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Avonmore Capital (20.00%), ITI Ltd(19.99%), Astec Lifesc(19.99%) and Saregama India(15.31%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 720.6 points down at 79223.11, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 183.91 points at 24004.75.


In the Nifty50 index, 21 stocks closed in the green, while 29 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Avonmore Capital, ITI Ltd, Tai Industries, P G Foils and Dev Information Tech hit their fresh 52-week high, while Jai Corp, Shangar Decor, IGC Industries, Quadrant Tele and Transgene Biotek touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
