Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the amid brisk in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Uma Exports(20.00%), Maestros Elec(19.99%), MPDL(19.99%), Bampsl Sec(19.94%), Pasari Spinning(19.92%), Gujarat Hotels(18.48%), ABM Knowledge(17.97%), Manoj Vaibhav Gems N Jewellers(17.32%) and ITI Ltd(15.41%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 450.94 points down at 78248.13, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 168.5 points at 23644.9.


In the Nifty50 index, 11 stocks closed in the green, while 39 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Maestros Elec, MPDL, Bampsl Sec, Gujarat Hotels and Bajaj Holdings hit their fresh 52-week high, while Balaji Amines, DAM Capital Advisors, Odigma Consultancy, Concord Enviro Syste and Kenvi Jewels touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
