Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the amid brisk in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Hi-Tech Winding Systems(57.10%), Suraj Industries(19.99%), Morgan Ventures(19.99%), Mahaan Foods(19.99%), OCCL Ltd.(19.67%), Conart Engg(19.37%) and Pioneer Embroid(15.58%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 964.15 points down at 79218.05, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 247.15 points at 23951.7.


In the Nifty50 index, 14 stocks closed in the green, while 36 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Hi-Tech Winding Systems, Morgan Ventures, Mahaan Foods, OCCL Ltd. and Conart Engg hit their fresh 52-week high, while Vishal Mega Mart, Ador Multiprod, IGC Industries, Odigma Consultancy and Digjam touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
