Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the amid brisk in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Indian Highway Concessions Trust(20.00%), Mahaan Foods(19.99%), RSD Finance(19.98%), Gujarat Craft(19.97%), LGB Forge(19.97%), Bajaj Healthcare(19.16%), Purple Entertainment(16.86%), Panth Infinity(16.80%), Prima Agro(15.53%) and Parker Agrochem(15.15%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 502.25 points down at 80182.2, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 137.16 points at 24198.85.


In the Nifty50 index, 17 stocks closed in the green, while 33 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Indian Highway Concessions Trust, RSD Finance, LGB Forge, Bajaj Healthcare and Prima Agro hit their fresh 52-week high, while Universal Autofoundry, Sanghi Ind, Universus Photo, Odigma Consultancy and IGC Industries touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
